The 1 Player Mode is more different from the 1 player mode in the prequel. You first start off with 20 cards, and you go to each island to complete against other monkeys in different minigames. It takes a number of battles in order to complete against the bosses. The bosses in the game are the Freaky Monkey Five, starting Blue Monkey all the way to Specter. The Pipotron Brothers sometimes come up and want to battle you. Once you contract them, you can't escape from the battle. If you lose a battle to a monkey, you lose Specter coins. If you win against monkeys in card battles, you earn both the card and Specter coins.
