Set in a desert, Grave's gameplay follows a day-night cycle, with terrifying enemies appearing at night and, when the sun rises, new environmental features such as houses are procedurally generated. During the day cycle, the player collects items useful to survival; as light repels the monsters, it means finding things such as gasoline and matches to create fire.
