A selection of Bethesda games are officially making the jump to Nintendo Switch 2, including Fallout 4. Its physical Switch 2 Anniversary Edition is available to preorder right now from a variety of retailers for $59.99 (see it here at Amazon), and its release date lands on April 28. That's not too long of a wait at all. Head to the links below to preorder a copy for your physical games library, and further down you can learn more about what comes in this Anniversary Edition alongside the main game.
Even though Bethesda has announced that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is getting the game card treatment for Switch 2, this edition of Fallout 4 will arrive as a code in the box instead. You will need to download the game to your Switch 2, rather than play from a card.
Alongside the base game for you to play, the Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition also comes with six official expansions:
There are also over 150 Creation Club items, including unique weapons, power armor sets, building packs, paint jobs, homes, and even other dog breeds that you can change Dogmeat to. That's a whole lot of game to enjoy.
Bethesda also notes in the announcement of the Anniversary Edition that, "There is no Creations menu in the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition. The 150+ included Creations have been built into the game."
Developed by Bethesda, Fallout 4 is, as its title suggests, the fourth mainline game in the Fallout series. It's a game that earned a very high score in its review from us back when it was initially released, with reviewer Dan Stapleton saying, "The world, exploration, crafting, atmosphere, and story of Fallout 4 are all key parts of this hugely successful sandbox role-playing game. Great new reasons to obsessively gather and hoard relics of happier times, strong companions, and sympathetic villains driving tough decisions make it an adventure I’ll definitely replay and revisit."
