The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales is set to release on PS5, Switch 2, Xbox, and PC on June 18. It’s a new HD-2D RPG from Square Enix, specifically the makers of Bravely Default and Octopath Traveler. It looks great, with “an epic tale that spans across millennia.” It also features real-time combat, which separates it from its predecessors. It’s available to preorder now in two editions at most of the usual retailers (see it at Amazon). Read on to see what comes in each edition, what preorder bonuses are available, and more.

The standard edition costs $59.99 and comes with the base game as well any qualifying preorder bonuses (see below).

The digital-only deluxe edition costs $10 more than the standard edition. It comes with the game, plus the following digital extras:

Anyone who preorders the game will get the following in-game items as a bonus:
If you preorder from Amazon, you’ll get the Amazon-exclusive edition, which comes with the game and the above preorder bonus, as well as the following physical item:
If you have save data on your system from various other Square Enix games, you’ll get in-game bonuses in The Adventures of Elliot. Here are the details, according to the publisher.

If you have a Nintendo Switch 2, you can try a demo of Adventures of Elliot right now.
There’s not much in the way of information about this game available at the moment. That said, we know The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales follows the titular character Elliot and the Fairy Fae as they go on an adventure in an “untamed world.” You’ll travel through four ages spanning 1,000 years to lift a curse on a princess.
Unlike previous HD-2D RPGs from developer Claytechworks, the combat in Elliot takes place in real time, rather than being turn-based. It looks fun in the trailers.
