The BAFTA Games Awards 2026 saw big wins for Dispatch, Ghost of Yōtei, and Kingdom Come: Deliverance II. But there were some surprises in there, too - in true BAFTA style. Ghost of Yōtei winning best music over Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, for example, came as something of a shock. Daredevil star Charlie Cox didn't get the chance to big up the Fench motion capture performer behind Clair Obscur's Gustave (something he almost certainly would have done had he won best performer in a supporting role). That went to Jeffrey Wright, who played Chase in Dispatch. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 lost out to Kingdom Come: Deliverance II in the best narrative category, and to Microsoft's South of Midnight in the New Intellectual Property category, too.
Sandfall Interactive won't be too down, however; the French studio won best Debut Game, and Jennifer English, fresh from her big The Game Awards 2025 win, continued her run by taking home the best Performer in a Leading Role award for her performance as Maelle in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. And, of course, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 won the biggest award of the night: Best Game. I'm not sure there was ever going to be another winner.
Elsewhere, Rebellion's Atomfall won British Game, Hello Games' No Man's Sky won Evolving Game, and Embark's Arc Raiders won Multiplayer.
