Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave — Here's What Comes With Each Edition
Released Jun. 9th, 2026

Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave finally got a release date at today's Nintendo Direct and is officially up for preorder. Digital editions of the game are available directly through the eShop for $69.99 alongside two physical editions priced at $79.99 (Standard) and $119.99 (Dagdan Collection).

Fortune's Weave is the first Switch 2 exclusive Fire Emblem game and is the first game in the franchise since 2023's Fire Emblem Engage. It's set to release later this year on September 17, 2026.

Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave - Standard Edition

The digital edition of Fortune's Weave costs $10 less than the physical edition. The main benefit of the digital edition preorder is that Nintendo allows you to pre-download the game and play it as soon as it releases. So if you're just excited to play the game and not collect an actual cartridge for your collection, that's the way to go.

Walmart briefly had the physical edition available to preorder for a discount, but it has since gone out of stock there.

Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave Dagdan Collection

In addition to the standard edition, there's also a collector's edition up for preorder. It's already sold out at the Nintendo eShop, but it's also available at Best Buy. You can expect this version of the game to sell out quickly. You'll already need to join a queue when you try to purchase here.

The latest trailer for Fortunes Weave gave us the most detailed look at the game yet. Like its predecessors, it's a tactical RPG that features a variety of distinct storylines. The story itself focuses on different protagonists as they compete in the Heroic Games, which has some serious Roman coliseum vibes. You get to pick one of four protagonists with different backgrounds and motivations, each of which has a unique story to play through. You can learn more about each protagonist directly from Nintendo's product page by scrolling down a bit.

The trailer also gave us our first look at the game's free time structure, which allows you to level up your skills and recruit units to your team.
