In Terraformers, players send their leaders to mysterious locations to uncover rich resource depots, giant crystal caves, and stunning natural wonders. They can found new cities on craters and in lava tubes, making them thrive and meet their population's rising demands. The planet is procedurally generated, ensuring that every new playthrough is unique. Players choose the best buildings from a selection of randomly proposed project cards at the start of every turn, plan their city layout efficiently, and find strong synergies between buildings. They can grow their cities into utopian metropolises or industrial settlements automated by robots. Players can also restart a volcano, construct giant space mirrors, or nuke the poles to geo-engineer the entire planet. They can spread adaptive bacteria, plant full-grown forests with bears, and utilize each life form's specific requirements and strategic benefits.
