Gamescom 2026: All Killer, No Filler
Gamescom’s Opening Night Live was a two-hour firehose of reveals, trailers, and hands-on previews. Let’s hit the highlights:
- Gears of War: E-Day – Hands-on previews call it “Brutal, Brilliant, and Quintessentially Gears.” Open-world elements are smartly reined in. Chainsaws: still a thing of beauty.
- The Witcher 3 Remastered & Songs of the Past – Geralt’s back, baby! Not only does the Remaster drop as a free upgrade (with all expansions) on every platform known to man, but a surprise third expansion 12 years after the original launch? CD Projekt, take my Gwent cards.
- Persona 4 Revival – New visuals, new Prime Time combat mechanics, and a cast refresh. Atlus continues to milk our nostalgia glands and, honestly, we’re here for it.
- Crimson Desert Enhanced, Path of Exile 2 v1.0, and LEGO Skylines – If you’re not excited for at least one of these, check your pulse.

Songs of the Past is bringing new story, new monsters, and yes, more Gwent. The only thing more satisfying than a Witcher contract? Beating your friends at cards.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Hits Switch 2
