Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4

War erupts on the Korean Peninsula when North Korea launches a full-scale invasion that threatens to destabilize the world. A young squad of South Korean soldiers, led from the player's perspective by Private Park, fights to survive on collapsing front lines while Captain Price wages a personal war from the shadows. Price's off-book hunt for Vladimir Makarov collides with the forces behind the invasion, spreading the conflict across Korea, New York, Paris, Mumbai, and other locations around the world.

The single-player campaign follows the events of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III (2023), combining trench warfare, close-quarters combat, covert operations, combined-arms battles, and cinematic set pieces. Multiplayer returns to grounded, boots-on-the-ground combat with refined movement and precision gunplay. The game launches with 12 Core 6v6 maps, dedicated Gunfight maps, large-scale battlefields, Gunsmith customization, and the reconfigurable Kill Block arena.

DMZ returns as an extraction mode in which solo players or squads deploy as off-the-books assets, pursue objectives, recover military technology, and decide what to carry out of a changing conflict zone. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is led by Infinity Ward, published by Activision, and launches October 23, 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. It supports cross-platform multiplayer and Xbox Play Anywhere, but is not available on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One and is not included with Game Pass at launch.
